Social Media: the downfall of personal relationships or greater personal interaction? Similar question is does online learning system diminish quality of discourse in learning or actually improves/enables it? Many educators today still tend to perceive the former, that the online system will put people in isolated silos, making them to be a trained zombies rather than functioning and holistic human being. Some educational-technologist still think so as well. A view which I probably can understand why it came about, partly due to misconception in social network, and large chunk of observation of mishandling the application of online technology for collaborative learning. in a simple word, there are not much good example to go around.
